We Need You

Mustang Sports Families:

The Mustang Athletic Boosters Association needs your help staffing our Concession Stand at the Stadium and Main Gym during the fall sports season.  We need volunteers from ALL of our fall teams: Cheer, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Golf and Volleyball.

VOLUNTEER BENEFITS:
- FREE ADMISSION to the game.
- EARN ADDITIONAL BOOSTER FUNDS for your athlete's team(s). When you sign up to volunteer, enter the team name (e.g. Basketball Girls JV) in the "comments section" to indicate the team that you wish to support.
- ANYONE CAN VOLUNTEER/ You do not need to be a Mustang Boosters member to volunteer, but we would love for you to join.

WHAT DO I DO AFTER I VOLUNTEER? Arrive on time for your shift and use the easy-to-follow, detailed instructions on how to open/run/close the Concession Stand. The sheets are located inside the stand.

This signup includes all HOME events for the fall season. Please sign up for the slot that works best with your schedule (even if it is for a different sport than you athlete plays). Typically, Varsity families cover JV games and JV families cover the Varsity games. This way, no one misses seeing their own athlete in action.

Each family should sign up for 2-3 slots to cover the whole fall season. 

We will update this sign up as home playoff games are announced.  We will certainly need your support for these games.

HOW PROCEEDS ARE SPENT:  Money earned from our Concession Stands benefit all of the programs within the Meridian Athletics Department, but the percentage will be determined by our volunteers. Prior contributions include:

$20,000+ for team stipends - This school year we are providing a $1000 stipend to each team (smaller teams receive slightly less).  Our coaches can use the stipend to pay for team equipment, Senior Night activities, team social outings, professional development training or other approved items and programs.

$30,000 for a new stadium scoreboard - contributed funds towards the purchase and installation of the new stadium scoreboard. 

$1000+ for new technology and improvements to our weight room
Bill Rose Assistance Fund - This fund steps in when our athletes need financial assistance to be part of a team at our school. It helps with physicals, required uniform items, team meals and more!

Please help us in our mission to support Meridian Athletics and to create a welcoming environment for our home Mustang fans and our visiting guests!
